Bert  (Max)  Maxwell

It all started about 10 years ago. I was getting my haircut and was reading a magazine article about a man that quit his career to become a a full time photographer doing something he loved. After reading the article I played around with the idea of becoming a photographer as well. For the next 6 months I thought about it and talked myself out of the idea again and again. I had a successful business at the time but did not like the industry or the people I had to deal with on a daily basis. I finally started taking photography classes at night. Two years later I graduated and my first job was working for Glamor Shots. I did not like the phony clothes and feathers and cheesy poses etc. Who dresses like that? NO ONE! HA! After I quit Glamor Shots I worked part time shooting (for peanuts) just to get practice and develop my own style. Every chance I had I would photograph animals, street people, scenery, children, crime scenes, couples, festivals, black and white, my dog, your dog, relatives, baby pictures, weddings etc. Ha! You get the idea. Anyway to make a long story short 10 years and several thousand photos later I now shoot full time and several different styles. I was able to get out of the business I no longer enjoyed and now enjoy my new profession very much.
